Math-A-Thon and Author Visit On Tap For This Week!

This past Friday, Ms. Kamienski held an all-school assembly to kick-off this year’s St. Jude’s Math-A-Thon! She told us a little bit about the program and then we watched a short DVD with Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus. Miley encouraged all of our students to get involved with the Math-A-Thon. Last year we set a goal of collecting $4,000. According to Ms. Kamienski, we met and passed that goal. This year’s goal will be $5,000! I know that we can do it. Math-A-Thon forms went home last week. Please get those forms back to me as soon as possible so you can get your math booklet from Ms. Kamienski.
On Wednesday, April 30th, our shared school and public library Mrs. Emily Tinnel will introduce us to author Diane deGroat. She is known for her Gilbert series of children’s books.
