Homework Until the End of the School Year

Well, we have finally made it to the last homework assignment of the school year. For the next two weeks (June 9 through June 20), students have been given a pack of math logic games to play at home. Each night, students should pick a new game and play it for ten to fifteen minutes. No other homework is required. This means that students are not required to read for 20 minutes, practice math facts, or practice spelling words. This time of the year with the heat and the number of after school activities can prove difficult for homework time. This gives students the opportunity to work on their own schedule.
Mansfield Public Schools – Emergency Closing – June 9, 2008

The Mansfield Public Schools are closing early due to the excessive heat and heat index. Southeast Elementary School will dismiss students at 12:45 PM. This will not add another day to our school calendar. There is a good possibility that we will close early tomorrow. Please check local media outlets for updated information.
