Week #1 – Done!
August 29, 2008 by James Hendricks
It has been a great first week of school. I have enjoyed meeting and learning about your children. They all have stepped up to new expectations, which can be tough for new third graders to do!
Weekly Friday notices include:
- Mileage Club
- 22nd Know Your Towns Fair 2008
- Mansfield Parks and Rec Youth Basketball
- 2 Southeast School Library Notices
I hope that your child has found that third grade is a really great place to learn! Enjoy the three day weekend.

In addition to the homework below, please make sure that your child brings back the beginning of the school year forms. These forms are extremely important to start the school year with the appropriate information. Homework tonight includes:
- Cursive Page 1 – l and h. We went over how this is practice and it does not need to be perfect, but they should try their best at it.
- Cut out all subtraction flash cards.
- Look for pictures for the reading theme wall (Due on Tuesday).
Have a great evening!

Tonight, students received many things in their backpacks. Here is the “what you need to know” for tonight’s homework:
- Bring back all school forms signed by parents.
- Cut out all addition flash cards.
- Look for pictures for the reading theme wall (Due on Tuesday).
- Review the homework information on the back of the planner (blue paper in STAR folder).
- Three students need to complete the yellow summer homework assignment from Mrs. Fisher-Doiron that was due today.
I hope that your child found that third grade is a great place to learn! Have a good evening!

Summer Homework
August 3, 2008 by James Hendricks
In the coming weeks, you will be receiving a homework assignment from our school theme committee. It is extremely important for your child to finish this assignment and bring it in on the first day of school.
Welcome to 2008-2009!
August 3, 2008 by James Hendricks
I would like to welcome you to the 2008-2009 school year in the Team Hendricks classroom. It should be an exciting year! There many things on tap for the school year. With the transition from the lower elementary wing to the upper elementary wing comes new things for your child. We expect students to be more independent with their learning and day-to-day school responsibilities. It is my intention to keep this web site updated on a semi-regular basis so that you can see some of the things we are working on in the classroom. In addition, homework will be posted on a regular schedule so that you can review the things that should be worked on at home.
If you have any questions, I urge you to contact me at school. Email is the best way to get in touch, but I can get back to you by telephone as well. All of that information is available by clicking on the “About” link at the top of the page.
I enjoyed meeting your child on the last day of school and look forward to learning with them this coming school year! See you on August 27th at 8:55 AM!
Jamie Hendricks
